Theme compatibility

The "Notify me" box has to insert itself into a product page somebody else designed. That is where back-in-stock apps usually break, so we test it against real themes — not against markup we wrote ourselves.

Every theme below is checked automatically on each build. The check runs against a product page captured from that theme's own Shopify demo store, including a genuinely out-of-stock variant wherever the demo had one. Last captured 2026-09-03.

What is actually checked

Two things, on every theme, on every build:

These tests have caught real failures. One example: on the Dawn family — which is most of the free themes — a product page contains two add-to-cart forms, and the first one belongs to Shop Pay instalments and has no buttons at all. Anchoring to it put the widget below the footer. Another: Empire's add-to-cart button carries none of the usual markers, so the widget was not placed at all. Both were found by these checks before any merchant saw them.

What this does not promise

Being honest about the limits, because a compatibility list is worth nothing if it overstates itself:

Your theme is not on the list

That does not mean it will not work — the widget finds its place by reading the variant identifier that Shopify guarantees on every add-to-cart form, not by recognising a particular theme. Most themes work without ever being tested.

But if the box shows up in the wrong place, or does not show up at all, tell us and we will add your theme to this list. That is the fastest way to get it fixed, and it makes the app better for everyone on the same theme.
